In the current multiplayer survival template, you could add your own functionality and even use other Hyper modules like the skill level manager. If you want to implement new functionality, you can dive into the code and think out your own architecture. I am showing in this video how you can achieve something like that. UE5 - How to adjust to your own system - Use Case example | GamesByHyper
Some people may ask: How can I just use only your base of a system? How can I skip assigning all your extra components to my own character? Why is it even there? It is actually quite simple and it is very usefull. I tried to implement everything as complete as possible, but also as interchangeable as possible. E.g. If you want to pickup an item, you want it to be added to your inventory. I have already implemented that and included the logic. However, if you want to implement your own, it should be fairly easy. You can simply delete my inventory component and check out all the places where I use the reference to an inventory component: e.g. on interact, try add to inventory. This should be replaced with a function of your own inventory if desired. Basically, all the pointers to other components are pointers for you to make choices on integration possibilities. And each of the integration possibilities, you can choose to keep it, delete it, or replace it. Instead of you guessing how to integrate it with other components, I show you how you can integrate it. The base logic of the mineable rocks is simply in the BP_Mineable_Rock_Master + parent and some childs The components on the character are only there for basic interaction, damage apply, inventory management.
